School of Persian Medicine

Established in 2008, the School of Persian Medicine is dedicated to advancing research-based education in the field of Persian medicine. The school aims to bridge the rich heritage of classical Persian medical knowledge with modern scientific research, providing evidence-based validation for traditional treatments derived from authoritative historical manuscripts.

Drawing upon the distinguished works of scholars such as Avicenna, and Razi, the School promotes critical analysis, clinical research, and scholarly interpretation of traditional theories within contemporary academic frameworks.

The School consists of two academic departments:

      •Traditional Iranian Medicine, Focused on the theoretical foundations, diagnostic principles, and therapeutic approaches of Persian medicine, integrating classical concepts with current clinical research methodologies.

      •Traditional Pharmacy, Dedicated to the study of medicinal plants, natural compounds, pharmacognosy, and the standardization and scientific evaluation of traditional formulations.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration, graduate education programs, and research initiatives, the School strives to train qualified specialists, contribute to scientific publications, and promote the safe and effective integration of traditional medicine into modern healthcare systems at national and international levels.
